Hi,

I've been trying to set up a "simple" connection between two wims-servers on a local network.
[in order to synchronise classes/grades etc]
In my tests: one server has adress 192.168.1.1
the other one has 192.168.1.2
Both servers are the latest wims-version [3.64]

I've tried to edit the files [myself etc] in "$wims_home/log/classes/.connections" accordingly.

But no matter what I try, I keep getting:

ERROR. wims has detected an error in the module 'adm/class/config.en'. In file 'adm/connect/main.proc', line 11: debug. Debug output: bad ident: myself

Can anyone give me a clue -or maybe some functional config-files...- to get this communication working ? thanks, Joke Evers

I have never tried. So I try today !

If you comment the line
ident_type=

in scripts/adm/connect/main.proc

the debug message disappear and I can have connection by creating in the both servers the
file as myself in a complementary way (password and identification).

But when I try to create a class in the other server, it is asked the Identifier of the remote class and I don't know !

PS: there is perhaps a reason to the line ident_type so be cautious !

However I still can't do anything usefull
I will try to look into the scriptcode, to see where things go wrong.
Although my guess is, it's some sort of misconfiguration on my part:
Georges K. manages to get Moodle and Wims talk with the same "adm/raw" module...
